Well, here we are... less than a day from leaving for Hawaii. We are scurrying around all over the place trying to get things packed. Never mind we have been planning this trip for months. It still all comes down to today.
As you can see in the picture, Twila is doing here best to put 50 pounds of clothes into a 25 pound bag. The good news is nobody is better at it. She has all the outfits for each of 12 to 15 photo shoots separated into Ziplock bags and labeled. I spent an hour trying to get all the air out of them. Thank God the villa will have a dryer to warm and toss out the wrinkles. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Chrissy the cat always hates this. She knows we are leaving and while she loves the girls, Alice and Key, who usually come take care of her and the house she still misses us. This trip we have Lauren coming to help as well so most days she will get two visits which should help greatly.
I have all my camera gear organized and mostly packed. I went back and forth on taking the drone as it shows very windy weather and the airlines are not crazy about drone batteries. In the end interesting picture opportunities won out and I packed it with tape over the contacts on all the batteries and each batter in an individual Ziplock back. Last time I flew with a drone the girl at Southwest was really impressed I had actually read the restrictions and followed them.
OK. Time to go run some errands and then come back and see what progress Twila has made. I think she does better with me out of her hair.
Our travel partner Gretchen arrives about 7pm and her friend, Chuck, should be here about 2am. We are not going to sleep... hoping that helps us sleep on the long leg of the flight. We leave for Nashville at 2am and the plane takes off at 5:35!!!! I hope!!! Thanks and keep watching. More to come this afternoon.
